Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay with some great views of Lake Geneva from the room's balcony. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, although the hotel service was impersonal and somewhat lacking in friendliness. The location by the lakefront was stunning, with a nice walk to the main area of Montreux but the dining options were a bit underwhelming.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was absolutely stunning with double French doors opening to a terrace overlooking Lake Geneva and the mountains. The service was top-notch, making us feel welcome and helping with arrangements. The location was spectacular, right by the lake and away from the crowded areas. The dining could improve with more options, but overall, it was a delightful experience.
I felt like stepping into a charming old-world charm with the quirky design of the rooms, though some may find the multiple adjoining doors overwhelming. Perfect for us traveling with our toddler; however, it may not suit everyone's taste. The location by the lake is delightful, but the proximity to the railway line could be bothersome depending on your room. Overall, a unique stay with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was truly enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and modern, equipped with a lovely balcony and a huge, very comfortable bed. The views from the rooms, including the special view from the lobby on arrival, were spectacular. However, the service was a bit lacking in clear communication and awareness. The location was fantastic, offering a quiet retreat yet still close to the charming town center and the famous Chillon Castle. The dining experience had room for improvement with limited options, but the home-baked bread was a nice touch.
The hotel's rooms are very tired and do not reflect the conditions of the rest of the establishment. However, being in the basement, my room had a large terrace to enjoy the view, and it was clean with a nice view of the lake. The service was excellent and very helpful, despite a couple of instances where staff entered the room without knocking. The location of the hotel is amazing, right on the lake, although my entrance-level room didn't offer a spectacular view as expected. The dining was decent but could be much better for a hotel of this caliber that calls itself 'Excelsior. '
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The lake view from our balcony was lovely, but slightly blocked by a big tree. The room itself was clean, light, and had a super comfy bed. The spacious room with doors to the garden and promenade was a real highlight. The staff were excellent, very friendly, and even changed our room to one with a better view upon request. The location was amazing, just the right distance from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful but still easy to walk into the center. The dining experience could have been better, especially for a hotel that calls itself 'Excelsior. '
